Thomas Ravenscroft : A Gentleman's Recreations
Thomas Ravenscroft published a treatise in 1614 in which he gathered twenty of his or his contemporaries' songs. These songs were ordered according to the five kinds of recreations to which men-folk were most partial: Hunting, Hawking, Dancing, Drinking and Enamouring.
For this concert these Recreations will be performed by the Centre Culturel Irlandais's chamber choir with the Lachrimae Consort.
