Call for Expressions of Interest
Appointment to governance bodies of Centre Culturel Irlandais, Paris
The Department of Foreign Affairs is seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified persons for appointment to the governance bodies of the Centre Culturel Irlandais (CCI) in Paris, Ireland’s cultural flagship in continental Europe, based in the historic Irish College founded in 1578. Further information on the work of the CCI is available on its website.
The governance bodies of the CCI
The CCI is administered by the Fondation Irlandaise, a public non-profit foundation established under French law and governed by appointees of the Irish and French Governments.
The Fondation is governed by the Conseil d’administration, comprising fourteen members, seven appointed by France and seven appointed by Ireland. The Conseil meets in Paris twice a year. The Strategic Committee of the Conseil also plays a key role in overseeing the CCI, including on matters of strategy, programme, operations and finances.
The Strategy Committee comprises the seven Irish-appointed members of the Board, a further seven members appointed by the Irish Ambassador to France, and one French representative nominated by the President of the Fondation. The Strategy Committee meets four times a year, alternating between Paris and Dublin.
