Aine Mallon

Áine Mallon is a contemporary classical composer of choral, instrumental and theatrical music. Her music engages with the fundamental human experience of storytelling and has been described as “traditional yet fresh and new” (John Rutter CBE). An associate composer with the Contemporary Music Centre, Áine has works performed across the UK and Ireland, and commissioned by world class ensembles such as Chamber Choir Ireland, the National Youth Choir of Great Britain, and the Fidelio Trio to name the most recent. She will use her time at the CCI to compose a new piece for chamber orchestra and solo uilleann pipes for the Irish Chamber Orchestra, premiering in Spring 2025.
