A special evening of Irish voices, music and broadcasting at the Centre Culturel Irlandais

Join us for a very special evening celebrating 100 years of public broadcasting in Ireland, and the vital role of the Centre Culturel Irlandais as Ireland’s cultural bridge to Europe during Ireland’s 2026 Presidency of the Council of the European Union.

6–7pm | Sounding Ireland: Radio and the Making of Us
Writer and RTÉ producer Clíodhna Ní Anluain leads a special conversation marking the launch of her new book, Sounding Ireland: Radio and the Making of Us published by New Island in association with RTÉ100. Looking back across a century of Irish broadcasting, the conversation explores how radio has recorded, shaped and shared Ireland’s cultural life and national voice. The event will also be recorded for broadcast at a later date.

Guests are invited to stay with us for refreshments and conversation ahead of the live broadcast.

8–9pm | RTÉ Arena – LIVE from the CCI
For the first time, RTÉ’s Arena will broadcast live from the Centre Culturel Irlandais, bringing special guests and musicians together for conversation, live performances and a unique celebration of Irish culture in the French capital.

The evening takes place at a particularly significant moment for the CCI, as it plays a central role in Ireland’s cultural programme during the EU Presidency and welcomes Focus Irlande – Théâtre de la Ville-Paris, one of the most ambitious presentations of Irish theatre and performance ever staged on the Continent.

A landmark evening celebrating a century of Irish broadcasting, contemporary Irish culture and Ireland’s enduring cultural connection with Europe.
