Opening evening "L'Irlande de Martin Parr"
First shown in Limerick, Dublin, Roscommon, Boston and Belfast, the exhibition L'Irlande de Martin Parr was conceived and produced by artistic director Tracy Marshall-Grant. The CCI presents a unique selection of these works as part of two festivals: Paris Photo and PhotoSaintGermain
These photographs are shown at the Centre Culturel Irlandais together with works by four photography alumni of Belfast School of Art at the University of Ulster - Megan Doherty, Rachel Glass, Jan McCullough and Jill Quigley - where Martin Parr is a visiting Professor. Curators: Ailbhe Greaney and Nora Hickey M'Sichili
Programme:
At 5.30pm on the evening of the opening, Ailbhe Greaney is in conversation with Martin Parr and then with Megan Doherty, Rachel Glass, Jan McCullough and Jill Quigley
From 6.30pm, sale and signing of the book Martin Parr: From the Pope to a Flat White; Ireland 1979-2019 (Damiani, 2020)

On the occasion of Paris Photo, the CCI hosts the publishers of Over, Ireland’s only photography journal, and Hot Potato, a newspaper where photo artists and academics intepret global issues, to informally present their publications in the courtyard.
