Alongside Martin Parr's work, we are delighted to present a selection of photographs by four alumni of the Belfast School of Art at the University of Ulster where the renowned contemporary photographer is Associated Professor.
Megan Doherty, Rachel Glass, Jan McCullough and Jill Quigley have been invited to respond to Martin Parr's oeuvre - described as intuitive, quirky or anthropological - by creating an original photograph for the exhibition.
At 5.30pm on the evening of the opening, Ailbhe Greaney will be in conversation with the photographers (admission free, reservation necessary - in English).
Until 8pm, artist in residence Selma Makela will open the doors of her studio to present her work in progress.
At 9pm, stay on for our after party with music by electro artist Liam McCartan.
On the occasion of Paris Photo, the CCI hosts the publishers of Over, Ireland’s only photography journal, and Hot Potato, a newspaper where photo artists and academics intepret global issues, to informally present their publications in the courtyard.
