Strategic Plan 2021-2025

Ireland's Cultural Flagship in Europe, the Centre Culturel Irlandais,
has an ambitious strategic plan for 2021-2025 focusing on investing in
the future, enriching the artistic programme, and further strengthening
the engagement of the CCI.

Joint Plan of Action 2021-2025

Following President Emmanuel Macron's State visit to Ireland on 26 August 2021, the French and Irish Governments welcomed the capital development plan for the Centre Culturel Irlandais as part of a Joint Plan of Action signed by both countries.

“We welcome the CCI’s ambitious Strategic Plan for the next five years, as well as its ongoing work with Ireland’s Office of Public Works on a capital development plan to renovate and further enhance this unique Irish cultural space in France,” the two Governments announced in their Joint Plan of Action.

In the lead-up to what was CCI’s 20th year in existence, Joint Government plans were unveiled for the centenary of the publication, in Paris, of James Joyce’s Ulysses – including CCI’s 5-month Joyce Season - as well as new Eileen Gray and Tomi Ungerer fellowships which include residencies at CCI.

CCI’s Programming Policy

Artists can engage with the CCI primarily through its annual open call for the Residency Programme, which supports around 50 artists each year across a range of disciplines. This residency serves as a key pathway for artists to develop a relationship with the Centre, and many former residents are subsequently invited to present work as part of the public programme. While the Centre does not operate an open call for general programming, artists are welcome to share their work with the curatorial team through introductions or invitations to see their practice. Our contact details can be found here. Further details on how artists can engage with CCI are outlined in the Programming Policy available here
