Composed and staged by Tim Cape, text by Alan Fielden
Winnie Huang (violin, voice), Louise Leverd (cello, voice), Szymon Kaça (clarinet, voice), Benjamin Soistier (percussion, voice), Tim Cape (voice)

Tim Cape, our composer in residence, brings us on a musical escapade tonight which includes 'Soother', his humorous theatrical insight into the mind of a thirty-something and his habit of playing games on his phone. Performed by four multi-talented members of the international ensemble Soundinitiative (cello, piano, clarinet, violin, percussion, voice, movement), with narration by the composer himself, this original piece is a moving, funny and absurd portrayal of a world where relationship and life pressures get mixed up with the competitive logic of the game: lyrical cadences meet Candy Crush.

Programme of the evening:

1: Tim Cape, Guest performer - Improvisation
2: Ann Cleare - Dysmorphia - Winnie Huang (Viola) and Louise Leverd (Cello) : duet by Irish Composer Ann Cleare.
3: Tim Cape, Edika Liiko - Mayah Kadish (Violin and voice)
4: Tim Cape, Soother - Soundinitiative - Winnie Huang (Viola), Louise Leverd (Cello), Szymon Kaça (Clarinet), Benjamin Soistier (Percussion)
