Soirée Paris Photo

Photography features prominently in CCI’s current exhibition Surveillé·e·s. This evening, in conjunction with Paris Photo and Photo St Germain, we are delighted to present a conversation at 6pm between two photographers of international stature - Willie Doherty and Donovan Wylie – both of whom come from Northern Ireland and whose work investigates the Troubles and military surveillance in general. They will be in discussion with Sean O’Hagan, art critic and journalist at The Guardian.

Following this discussion, the exhibition Angélique Cheronnet opens in the nearby Espace Lhomond gallery (on show until 11 Nov) as a homage to the Franco-Irish photographer following her untimely death in 2018. A specially curated collection of works, it attests to the artist’s incisive ability to capture the environs and lives of those around her in Dublin and Paris.

As from 7pm, Irish photographer Shane Lynam will be signing copies of Fifty High Seasons. Shane Lynam. This, his first photobook, documents unusual 1960s holiday resorts in the Languedoc region of southern France.

Throughout the evening, our artist-in-residence Bea McMahon welcomes all to visit her studio in the courtyard.
