Our current writer-in-residence Michael O'Loughlin has published many collections of poetry, the most recent of which is In This Life (2011). He has also written screenplays, essays, short fiction and is active as a translator, particularly of Dutch poetry. In recent years he has spent a lot of time in the Montagne Noire in Languedoc, heartland of the Troubadours and intends to work on translations from their work. This evening he will also discuss the translating of his own work into French and read several extracts.
