Our two writers-in-residence have both been acclaimed for their novels in English and in French translation. Karl Geary’s first novel Montpelier Parade (Vera) was published in 2017; a working actor, one of the latest films he is appeared in is Jimmy’s Hall by Ken Loach. Julian Gough has written extensively for both adults and children winning the BBC National Short Story Award in 2007 and most recently the French award Prix Livrentête for the French translation of Rabbit's Bad Habits.
