European Heritage Days

Programme:

  • Guided tours of the Old Library presenting the treasures of the collection: three illuminated manuscripts that date from the Middle Ages (Saturday and Sunday 2pm - 5pm, tours departing every half hour until 4.30pm)

  • Doors open for all to visit our current exhibition A False Dawn d’Ursula Burke (lien vers l’exposition)and Saint Patrick’s chapel

  • Books, magazines, CDs, films and many more resources on Ireland’s heritage and contemporary culture available for all to consult in the Médiathèque

  • Open-air library: choose a book and settle down to read in the courtyard

  • Demonstration of Celtic drawing technique by artist David Balade

  • CCI’s artist-in-residence Ailbhe Barrett invite you to come and visit her studio (Saturday at 3pm)

  • Acoustic concert by Irish songwriter David James Murphy (Saturday and Sunday at 5pm). Listen to him here
