Heartstopper by Alice Oseman, translated by Eoin McEvoy.
Recommended by artist Em O Ceallaigh, this graphic novel has finally been translated into Irish!

"Since its release, I’ve been looking forward to getting my hands on the Irish language translation of Heartstopper, a graphic-novel-turned-Netflix-show that has been a hit with young people and adults alike. I was delighted to spot it here at the Médiathèque, alongside a brilliant section of Irish language books. This translation is by Eoin McEvoy, a multidisciplinary artist and community activist, teacher at University College Dublin, and co-establisher of AerachAiteachGaelach, an Irish-speaking collective that supports and platforms artists contributing to the development of queer Irish language arts. Heartstopper is recommended for those hungry for LGBTQI+ stories in the Irish language, young people, and learners of the language who enjoy learning through visual imagery. I’m looking forward to reading the next book in the series that has just been published.
Tá súil agam go mbainfidh sibh taitneamh as an leabhar!"
