Currently in residence at CCI, Aisling Kenny is a soprano soloist and ensemble singer specialising in early music and art song. She performs baroque chamber music and oratorio regularly across Europe and the USA and has sung as a soloist with Irish Baroque Orchestra, Irish Chamber Orchestra, Camerata Kilkenny, Marlborough Baroque, The Orchestra of St Cecilia, Linden Baroque and the Staatskapelle Halle as well as with numerous choirs and choral societies.
She is joined tonight by world-class lutenist Thomas Dunford, ‘the Eric Clapton of the lute’ according to BBC Music Magazine, for a concert of Renaissance music for lute and voice by John Dowland (1563-1626) in the atmospheric setting of CCI’s chapel.
