Old Library visit
- Thursday 21 March 2019
- 7pm, reservation recommended (spaces limited)
- Admission free
The Old Library is one of the last of its kind – a small collegiate library of which there were many in the area before the Revolution. The bookshelves are laden with 8000 volumes, half of which date from before 1812, but the real treasures are its three illuminated manuscripts.
N.B. Don’t miss our current exhibition of books from the Old Library (on the ground floor): Uncovering books. From bookbinding to the history of books at the Old Library.
