Una McKevitt Productions presents

Victor and Gord and The Big Deal

Victor and Gord

Conceived and directed by Una McKevitt
With Jay Breen, Vicky Curtis and Áine McKevitt

Continuing our theme of International Women’s Day, this show revisits the everyday experiences that cemented the real-life friendship of Vicky Curtis and Áine McKevitt, aka Victor and Gord, and considers where it all went wrong. Sneaky cans. Fags on the sly. Free love. A funny and moving theatrical celebration of friends and family, Victor and Gord is constantly evolving with a cast of non-professional performers: for this version, the two young women are joined by Jay Breen.

A sell-out show in Dublin’s Absolut Fringe Festival, Victor and Gord was awarded five stars by Irish Theatre Magazine who wrote: "the trauma of performing is rarely met with the bravery and honesty meant to match it, but here those qualities are on display in spades - truly."

The Big Deal

Directed by Una McKevitt
Starring Una Kavanagh & Shani Williams

The Big Deal is an extraordinary story of two women who knew from a very young age that they were born into the wrong bodies. The show was scripted using original material culled from the diaries and letters of two women as they transitioned from the male bodies into which they were born, to the female bodies they felt were their own; it charts their incredible personal gains and losses with raw honesty.
“The subjects in Una McKevitt’s important new work remind us there are many voices yet to be heard.” Irish Theatre Magazine
