Join us for a special candlelit reading in the Old Library by actor Théophile Choquet. He will lend his voice to the French translation of ‘Gulliver’s Travels’ by the Irish writer Jonathan Swift. A parody of the then popular travel narrative, Gulliver’s Travels (1726) combines adventure with savage satire, mocking English customs and the politics of the day.
