Unfolding the Landscape

Tim Robinson is a writer and cartographer who has been extensively mapping and studying Connemara for the last thirty years. His books include the Connemara trilogy: Listening to the Wind, The Last Pool of Darkness and A Little Gaelic Kingdom. His company, Folding Landscapes with its studio on the quayside in Roundstone, publishes his maps which are renowned for scholarly exactitude and artistry.

Writer and journalist Mary Russell lives in Dublin but for the last ten years has travelled around Syria - by desert bus, on foot and by bike. Her latest book My Home is Your Home is a celebration of this intriguing and complex country and of its many and diverse peoples. A solo traveller, she has also published Journeys of a Lifetime (2002) and The Blessings of a Good Thick Skirt (1994).

Renowned author Colm Tóibín, who won the 2004 Man Booker Prize, will revisit Walking Along the Border (Bad Blood) more than twenty years after it was published. Half wanderer, half-investigator, he recounts his peregrination along the border from Derry to Newry.
