Since 2014, the CCI has hosted titulaires d’une bourse de recherche de la Liam Swords Foundation, with researchers living in the CCI for three months studying (aborder) themes such as Synge & Parisian Ireland, la Maison du Peuple de Clichy, Sonic Storytelling in the Film Score and the 1922 Irish Race Congress. The 2020 and 2021 lauréates Rosanne Gallenne (School of English, Drama & Film, University College Dublin) and Tracey McCarthy (Department of History, Mary Immaculate College, Limerick) present the fruits of their research on the subjects of the translocation of violence in the war poetry of Sheila Wingfield and Andrée Chedid, and the French expedition to the West of Ireland in 1798.

Former recipients of the Liam Swords Bursary include: Patricia Garcia, Kevin Donovan, Catherine Wilsdon, Billy Shortall, James McGlynn and Stephen Griffin.
