With Madeleine Staunton (flutes), Paul Roe (clarinets), Elaine Clark (violin), Martin Johnson (cello), Jane O’Leary (piano) and Garth Knox (viola)
Concorde unveils five new compositions by Irish composers – Ed Bennett, Brian Keegan, Garth Knox, Jane O’Leary and Judith Ring – which have been inspired by violist Garth Knox. Drawing on his vast experience as viola player with the Arditti Quartet and the Ensemble intercontemporain, he has become a unique performer of music of many different styles, ranging from minimalist understatement to the cutting edge of new techniques and new technologies.
