Autumn 1978, Pope John Paul I is not long dead, and Pat Farnon has ‘some business’ to do in town. This wonderfully observant one-man show follows cobbler Pat as he walks to town and back. He meets an array of village characters along the way giving rise to a stream-of-consciousness extravaganza that is tender and hilarious in equal measure. The Man in the Woman’s Shoes has won awards in Ireland and Britain as well as playing to great acclaim in Dublin, London, New York and Philadelphia.

“Extraordinary physical performance… Sharp observational comedy” (The Sunday Times)

“An enchanting show… hilarious… One of the most delightful theatrical experiences I’ve had in a long time” (Gay Byrne)
