Oisín Mac Diarmada (fiddle), Séamus Begley (vocals, button accordion), Paul Finn (button accordion), Damien Stenson (flute), Seán McElwain (guitar, bouzouki), Tristan Rosenstock (bodhrán)

A traditional Irish band with a truly worldwide reach, Téada has appeared as a frequent headliner at major music festivals throughout the US, Canada, Mexico, Europe, Africa, Russia, The Middle East and Australia. Founded by fiddler Oisín Mac Diarmada, the latest addition to the band is singer and accordionist Séamus Begley, winner of 2013 TG4 Traditional Singer of the Year. The energy of these six musicians is boundless.

“Raucous one minute, sensitive and serene the next… this is traditional Irish music with attitude… Something quite intangible separates Téada from the rest, and if there is a better new band on the Emerald Isle, then they must be very, very good.” (Edinburgh Evening News)

“A forensic approach to their music, meticulously marrying like-spirited tunes with an understanding of the finer points of ensemble arrangements. (**** The Irish Times)
