The story is related by award-winning writer and performer Donal O'Kelly with live music, by Celtic Prize-winning composer Michael Holohan, for uilleann pipes (Mick O'Brien), string quintet, harpsichord (composer Michael Holohan) and percussion (Robbie Harris). The audience is led inside Hugh O'Neill's head, from his endangered childhood and fostered education among England's and The Pale's elite to his defeat at Kinsale. We follow him on the stormy voyage from Lough Swilly to France, his trek across the Alps, and his exile in Rome.
