This highly ornamental traditional Irish singing style is redolent of North African or Middle Eastern melodies. Róisín’s unique masterclass will introduce participants to the sean-nós style and allow participants to learn particular songs in Irish, the singer’s mother tongue.

This event is part of the Festival d’Ile de France (6 Sept – 12 Oct 14). Together with other Irish musicians and performers, Roisin Elsafty will accompany the baroque ensemble Les Musiciens de Saint Julien as part of a big “Veillée Irlandaise” on 20 September at La Ferme d’Avrainville (91).
