Currently in residence at the CCI in conjunction with Literature Ireland, visual artist and writer Adrian Duncan is based in Ireland and Berlin. He won the 2019 John McGahern Book Prize for his debut novel “Love Notes from a German Building Site” and has just published his new novel “A Sabbatical in Leipzig”, both of which reflect Adrian’s passion for and experience in engineering.
For this online broadcast from CCI’s Old Library, he will read "Design No. 108" which is to be published as part of his collection of stories “Midfield Dynamo” in March 2021 by Lilliput Press.
“Love Notes from a German Building Site, Adrian Duncan’s first novel, is written with such thrilling precision, such attention to detail, such care in the evocation of sensibility that you are fully transported into the world of a Berlin building site.” (Colm Tóibín)
“A reflective, beautifully paced novel” (The Irish Times)
