Co-authors Maurice Goldring and Clíona Ní Ríordaín will discuss their publication Irlande : Histoire Société Culture, published in January by Editions La Découverte. A wide-ranging study, it explores how the history of the country, not to mention its myths and legends, have shaped modern Irish culture and society. Specific subjects such as secularism, sexism, emigration and the Irish language are addressed as well as the rise and fall of the Celtic Tiger and the continued importance of writers, musicians and artists in today’s Ireland.
