La compagnie la Belle Idée presents this staged reading by Alexandre Fabre of Premier Amour by Samuel Beckett. This bitter-sweet monologue is one of the first texts that Beckett wrote in French; completed in 1945, it was not published until 1970.
One of his lesser known texts, it tells of the first stirrings of love experienced by the narrator on a public bench beside a canal in Germany.
