Premier amour

For the nationwide evening Nuit de la lecture, the actor Théophile Choquet will read one of the first texts that Samuel Beckett wrote in French – Premier amour – in the intimate surroundings of CCI’s chapel. Published fifty years ago, this work tells of the narrator being taken in by a prostitute who discovers him on a park bench, where he is loitering after becoming homeless upon the death of his father, and of their strange "union".
