From Prague and Brussels to New York and Manilla, Maria McManus’ Jukeboxes are bringing poetry out into the city to engage with contemporary society. At the beginning of 2020, CCI inaugurated the Poetry Jukebox for Paris in its courtyard! Throughout the year, the jukebox invites you to turn the handle and listen to poems related to our cultural programme: from January to March the theme was the environment and climate change; this current selection of poems explores famine, migration and exile until 31 October, and is curated by Maria and Jessica Traynor. Among the poets whose work you can listen to: Nuala O’Connor, Iggy McGovern, Miriam Gamble, Moyra Donaldson. Do pop in!
