Created in the context of the Saison culturelle européenne as the Franco-Irish Tandem Project, this new production is adapted from Roddy Doyle's novels The Woman Who Walked into Doors and Paula Spencer. Set twelve years apart, they chart the life of the emblematic character Paula Spencer. Despite being an alcoholic and having to deal with a violent husband, she is a survivor, a force of nature characterised by her verve, humanity and humour. A hymn to life, this one-woman-show is a moving testimony of tenderness, maternal love and an indomitable human spirit.

This show sees Olwen Fouéré, one of Ireland's leading actresses, make her professional début in the language of her parents.
