Just prior to the opening of his exhibition Making News, Paul Seawright will discuss his work with fellow Belfast-based photographer Donovan Wylie whose photographic and film projects have explored religious identity, history, and the concept of territory, especially during The Troubles, post-ceasefire.

Since 2000, Wylie has concentrated on the architecture of conflict with notable bodies of work exploring The Maze prison and British watchtowers in Northern Ireland, and the Green Zone in Baghdad. He has also worked in China, Russia, Slovakia, Spain, Israel, and Yugoslavia. In 2010, he was a shortlisted artist for the Deutsche Börse Photography Prize and his photographic work has been included in exhibitions at the Irish Museum of Modern Art in Dublin, the Victoria & Albert Museum in London, and the Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris.
