Patrick Scott is an Irish artist of international stature, who has devoted himself to an artistic career since 1960 when he won the Guggenheim Award and represented Ireland in the 30th Venice Biennale. This exhibition of exquisite works on paper, Méditations, is Scott's first in France. Characteristic of his style, in their abstract minimalism and use of gold and palladium leaf, the works revisit many of the contemplative themes explored by the artist over the last fifty years. A founding member of Aosdána, Scott was conferred with the title of Saoi in 2007, the highest honour that can be bestowed upon an Irish artist.
