Actor and storyteller Nuala Hayes joins with Anne-Marie O’Farrell, harpist and composer, to present an evening of stories and music inspired by the legends, myths and literature associated with the Cailleach. The Wise Woman or Hag of Irish and Scottish mythology, the Cailleach is an Earth Mother who has the power to shapeshift and transform. For centuries, she has represented a source of inspiration for artists, musicians and poets and, as a strong feminine figure, continues to have relevance in the contemporary world.
