Liam O MaonIaí & Guest Sam Tshabalala
- 8 October 15
- 7.30pm, reservation recommended

The acoustics and intimate atmosphere in CCI’s chapel lend themselves perfectly to our “unplugged” Chapel Sessions launched tonight by singer and musician Liam O Maonlaí. Best known as a member of the alternative rock group Hothouse Flowers, which he formed in 1985, Liam recorded a solo album of songs in Irish ten years ago and plays with the traditional group Ré whose live album was recorded in 2014. A man of convictions, Liam is a member of the international Nuclear Free Future movement. He also embarked on a 3,000 mile cross-cultural musical adventure, recounted in the documentary Dambé - The Mali Project (2008) that highlights the links between Irish music and that of north and west Africa.
He is joined this evening by Parisian singer and guitar-player Sam Tshabalala whose music is deeply rooted in his South African culture.
