A poet and member of Aosdána, Paddy Bushe has published extensively in English and Irish since 1989. This evening he will read from his work in both languages (with translation of the work in Irish) and will also talk about his progress in relation to the bilingual series of poems he is working on while on residency at the CCI – an exploration of visual art in response to the artwork of the galleries and public spaces of Paris.

Caitriona O’ Reilly will launch her third collection, Geis, a Poetry Book Society recommendation that has just been published by Bloodaxe Books in the UK. Her first book, The Nowhere Birds (2001) was shortlisted for the Forward Prize for Best First Collection and won the Rooney Prize in Irish Literature in 2002. Her second collection, The Sea Cabinet (2006) was also a Poetry Book Society recommendation and was shortlisted for the Irish Times Poetry Prize.
