A lecturer at the Institute of Irish Studies at the University of Liverpool, Dr. Frank Shovlin is currently developing a project on James Joyce and the Literary Revival. His other research interests include the history of the book, the Irish short story, the literary magazine and the life and works of Patrick Kavanagh; he has published on subjects ranging from economics to regional aspects of the Irish Literary Revival.
