Franco-Irish debating competition 07

The annual Franco-Irish debating competition, sponsored by the Ireland Fund of France and the Alliance Française de Dublin, will take place at the Centre Culturel Irlandais. Students from second-level schools in the Republic and Northern Ireland will take on a team from the Lycée Fénelon Sainte-Marie, Paris. The competition, usually a lively encounter, has raised the richness of linguistic diversity within schools as well as promoting links between school in Ireland and France. It affords opportunities to meet others from different cultural and social backgrounds as well as enjoyable and purposeful encounters for our young people.
