CCI is taking part in the nationwide evening of reading, Nuit de la Lecture, with this special reading by the renowned French actor Jacques Bonnaffé who has been nominated for Molières and César awards on a number of occasions. His wit and love of literature make him the perfect voice for bringing to life some of Flann O’Brien’s most popular texts in the intimate atmosphere of CCI’s chapel. Under the pseudonym Myles na Gopaleen, Flann O’ Brien wrote a daily column in The Irish Times from 1940 to 1966 which hilariously satirised the absurdities and solemnities of Dublin life.
