The hit audio series on Irish culture, history and politics ‘The Irish Passport’ is hosting a live recording event at CCI on the theme of Ireland and America. Journalist Naomi O'Leary and history lecturer Tim Mc Inerney will take on the issues of race, politics and history, discussing the future of the transatlantic relationship, the prevalence of Irish surnames in the Trump administration, and the ethics of bringing the traditional Saint Patrick’s Day shamrock to the White House in 2019. Featuring special guests Caitríona Perry, RTÉ presenter, former Washington correspondent and author of In America: Tales from Trump Country, and Emma Dabiri, academic, broadcaster and author of Don’t Touch my Hair.
