Exposition d'instruments de musique

This is an exhibition of musical instruments recovered by Jean-Charles Léon, director of the Irish Chamber Choir of Paris, and Philippe Foulon, artistic director of the Lachrimæ Consort. Over the last decade, Jean-Charles Léon and Philippe Foulon have initiated the reconstruction of forgotten musical instruments of the Baroque period. The hands-on research inherent in this process has allowed a host of rare instruments to come out of the shadows and be played again; the different items, unique for the most part, are presented in this exhibition: viola d'amore, viola d'Orphée, lyre, nonnentrompete, violoncello all'inglese, viola d'amore with metal strings.
