“The moon each evening above the studio was beautiful and yellow” recalls Patrick O’Laoghaire aka I Have a Tribe following the recording of his first album. Indeed the title of the album, Beneath a Yellow Moon, sets the tone for this evening’s indie-folk concert in the chapel - melancholic and full of poetry. O’Laoghaire‘s music invites us to feast on the very emotions that make life so intense; his intensity is contagious.
Slow Skies is the project of singer-songwriter Karen Sheridan who plays solo tonight. Blending delicate guitar, swirling synths and intimate vocals, she and her band have supported James Vincent McMorrow, St Vincent and Cat Power among others. Their debut LP is to be released in the Autumn of 2017.
