With their high-energy performances, innovative arrangements and infectious melodies, Guidewires is being described as the freshest sound in Irish music. With four members from Ireland and one from Brittany, their music is a mix of traditional Irish, Breton, Middle Eastern, Galician and newly composed pieces. Guidewires brings together one of Ireland’s finest concertina players Pádraig Rynne, Breton music's renowned Sylvain Barou on flute, the great Tóla Custy on fiddle, leading producer and performer Paul McSherry on guitar and rising star Karol Lynch on bouzouki.
For this concert, they are joined by Tríona Ní Dhomhnaill who has sung with the best traditional Irish groups of the past thirty years.
