In just a few years, the Big Swing Ball of the Festival Jazz à Saint-Germain-des-Prés Paris has become a fixture of the CCI’s summer programme. Re-live the ambience of the big American jazz bands of the 50s with L’Esprit Jazz Big Band. The thirteen musicians are joined again this year by crooner Marc Thomas and will keep you dancing as they revisit classics from the great orchestras of Count Basie, Duke Ellington or Glenn Miller. Swing your skirts, polish your Oxfords and dance around the elegant courtyard of the CCI! Come dressed up or coiffed in fifties style and you will be eligible for a reduced-price ticket … not forgetting the photocall that will capture the best dressed dancers!

Special-guest accordionist Peter Browne will add an Irish touch to the evening. Originally from Dublin, he has toured Europe, Asia and the USA while working and recording with many fine musicians in Ireland and across the world. He is currently a member of a trio called "Bully’s Acre" whose debut album has just been released.
