Working primarily in the moving image, both of Grace Weir’s films on exhibition - Dust defying gravity (2004) and A deep field for the time deaf (2007) - explore the limitations of our visual abilities and the instruments we use to enhance them.

Grace Weir represented Ireland at the 49th International Venice Biennale and has exhibited widely nationally and internationally. Her work is often concerned with examining facts not as objective certitudes in the world but as processes, as complicated mediations between direct experience and theoretical concepts.
