Bags will be checked at the entrance. Large bags and luggage will not be accepted inside. Glass bottles, bikes, scooters and animals (except guide dogs) will also be forbidden. The CCI is likely to temporarily close its doors in the event of overcrowding.

After two years of Fête de la Musique online, the CCI is delighted to welcome you back to its big courtyard, known for its warm and festive atmosphere. Here at 5 rue des Irlandais, we keep up our tradition of hosting up-and-coming talents on the Irish music scene… this time with original collaborations and an international touch!

Ensemble Eriu

With Neil O Loclainn (bass and flute), Jack Talty (concertina), Jeremy Spencer (violin), Matthew Berril (clarinet), Paddy Groenland (guitar), Maeve O’Hara (marimba), and Matthew Jacobson (drums).

Deeply rooted in the traditional repertoire of County Clare, this septet also draws on other influences such as jazz, classical music or world music. Jack Talty, Neil O Loclainn and the other musicians, some of the most renowned in Ireland, bring unparalleled modernity to their arrangements. Released in 2013, their first CD immediately impressed reviewers; their second one, Imbas, was nominated by the Irish Times for Best Traditional Record in 2016. Their latest record, released in 2017, draws from the work of painter Jack B. Yeats and is currently listed by Songlines magazine as the 3rd most essential albums of all time.

Senegal, France, Ireland: A Hip-Hop Celebration

Presented by the Centre Culturel Irlandais, Cork Midsummer Festival and the Everyman

In association with the French Embassy in Ireland, DFA and the Irish Embassy and Senegalese Embassy in France

This special hip-hop concert synergises some of the freshest Irish, French and Senegalese talents! Nine artists based in three countries come together for a week-long creative residency at the CCI orchestrated by the Dakar-based composer and producer Doctor L (aka Liam Farrell). On 21 June, be the first to experience the results of this joyful international melting-pot of talented artists and celebrate the music of rap and hip-hop, electro-soul, RnB, afro-futurism and beatbox!This ambitious performance will be brought to Cork Midsummer Festival on 25 June and the inauguration of the Embassy of Ireland in Dakar at the end of the year.
