Pianist Fiachra Garvey is an alumnus of both Dublin and London's Royal Academy of Music and has won many prestigious prizes and competitions in Ireland - AXA Dublin International Piano Competition, Feis Ceoil - as well as in Europe. He performs regularly as a soloist with some of Europe's greatest orchestras and ensembles. He is the founder and artistic director of the West Wicklow Festival and of Classical Vauxhall.

Originally from Kikenny, violonist Patrick Rafter has travelled the world as a solo musician and conductor, notably with the RTE Concert Orchestra. He has conducted and collaborated with many talented contemporary musicians and composers including Arvo Pärt. Patrick has performed on the stages of the Royal Albert Hall, Berlin Konzerthaus and Seoul Arts Centre. He is currently teaching at Cork School of Music and the Royal Irish Academy of Music.

During their CCI residency this month, the two friends are working on preparations for their forthcoming joint recording. This evening, the pair of prodigious classical musicians fill the chapel with Sonatas in G Major by Maurice Ravel and Guillaume Lekeu. Not to be missed!
