Led by saxophonist and composer Nick Roth, this year’s featured musician, Yurodny perform contemporary settings of traditional music from around the world working collaboratively with performers and composers. Following two critically acclaimed albums and tours in Ireland, Hungary, Switzerland and Norway, they will record their third album for Diatribe Records, Haivka, featuring a traditional Ukrainian choral ensemble from the Carpathian mountains and special guest composer Alla Zagaykevych. Combining authenticity and modernity, Yurodny will bring our Fête de la Musique to a close in style.
