Fête de la Musique
CCI is quite simply the place to be for Fête de la Musique - last year 5,000 music-lovers joined us in the courtyard! 2018 will be no exception with concerts for all tastes: funk-pop, trad music and hip hop!
Bags will be checked at the entrance. Large bags and suitcases are not permitted. Also prohibited are: glass bottles, bicycles, scooters, animals (with the exception of guide dogs).
Due to the large numbers attending Fête de la Musique at CCI, we may have to close temporarily.

Joshua Burnside
An experimental songwriter from Northern Ireland, Joshua Burnside deftly blends alt-folk and elements of the Irish folk song tradition with South American rhythms and Eastern European influences. Mixing in synthetic and found-sounds, synths loops and crunching beats, Burnside’s first album Ephrata has won him the Northern Ireland Music Prize 2017 as well as 10 million listeners on Spotify since then!

Traditional music
Notify & guest Síomha
With Pádraig Rynne (concertina), Cillian King (guitar, concertina), Eoin Walsh (bass), Cormac McCarthy (piano, keyboards), Fionn O Ceallachain (drums)
Notify is spearheading an evolution of traditional music by placing Irish melodies within electronic, jazz, and rock. Pivoting on the wizardry of concertina player and electronic sound designer Pádraig Rynne, these five Irish musicians deliver an evocative repertoire of original melody compositions and songs, produced with sensitive electronic overlays and inventive arrangements.
“Forward looking, stylistically adventuresome and musically well executed, it challenges received notions of Irish traditional music purity.”
(New York Echo)
“Ambient melodies, traditional compositions and groovy beats with layers of electronic sounds. This is Pádraig and co. at their experimental best.”

R’n’B pop
Wyvern Lingo
Avec Caoimhe Barry (voice, drums, guitar), Karen Cowley (voice, bass, keyboards), Saoirse Duane (voice, guitar)
Groovy and full of great musical attitude, Wyvern Lingo’s sensual, RnB-flavoured pop is seducing audiences all around Ireland. Music is the glue that helped Wyvern Lingo stick together. From the age of 12, they obsessed over hand-me-down albums of Led Zeppelin, Joni Mitchell and Simon & Garfunkel along with the R’n’B of the 90s/00s. Their music and vocal harmonies stitch together this tapestry of influences to great effect and their first album shot to the top of the Irish charts on its release in 2018.
“It’s this ultra-modern sensibility which informs this easy to love debut album.”
