An Evening of Song and Reflections on the Universe
Author, composer and musician Emma Garnett, alias Fehdah, grew up in Ireland and Sierra Leone. Trained as an astrophysicist, she has created her own style of music which she calls “Afrofuturist-electro-soul”, a mix of R’n’B and traditional Irish and West-African singing. She draws her inspiration from Erykah Badu and Oumou Sangaré, but also Ali Farka Touré and Youssou N’Dour. Don't miss this brilliant artist who speaks to us this evening about her reflections on the universe.
