Faisons un rêve
Evening of opera and song

The CCI is delighted to partner the Irish National Opera for this exceptional evening of opera and song in our beautiful chapel. Organised to coincide with Irish opera singer Tara Erraught taking on the lead role of Massenet’s Cinderella at Opéra Bastille, we present mezzo-soprano Gemma Ní Bhriain and soprano Sarah Shine. Both Irish alumni of the Atelier Lyrique de l’Opéra National de Paris, they sing works that reflect the Franco-Irish nature of tonight’s setting.

The programme will include famous arias by Berlioz, Delibes, Offenbach and Balfe. The concert will also feature some rarely performed musical jewels by Franco-Irish composers Augusta Holmès and Joseph O’Kelly, including his setting of the Victor Hugo poem Faisons un rêve.
